Maharashtra Thane Bridge Accident 2026: 11 Dead in Major Collision on Rayta Bridge

A major road accident in Maharashtra’s Thane district on Monday, April 13, 2026, claimed the lives of at least 11 people after a passenger van collided head-on with a ready-mix cement mixer truck on Rayta Bridge near Govili village on the Kalyan–Murbad road.

According to police officials, the collision occurred around 10:45 AM, when the van was travelling from Kalyan toward Murbad and struck a heavy cement mixer coming from the opposite direction.
